An image check before the code is sent
The “Sign in with a code” tab now has a short step: you type the characters from the image, and only then is the one-time code sent.
Anyone who opens the sign-in screen can ask for a one-time code, so that step is public. To keep the requests coming from people rather than from programs, a short step now comes first: an image with characters. You type the characters you see, and only then does the system send the code. Every such code is a real message in WhatsApp or an email, and automated requests have no place there.
The image is produced inside Lidin, with no outside service involved: nothing is passed to a third party. If the characters are hard to read, select “another image” and a new one appears.
- Letter case does not matter.
- Each image is valid for a limited time and works once.
- Signing in with a password has not changed, and there is no image step there.
Anyone who prefers the password carries on as before. That route also stays the comfortable one for people working with a screen reader.
