Lead source and ad tags — owner only
Where a lead came from, ad identifiers and tags are now visible to the office owner and to the staff the owner has opened it for; for everyone else — not in the list, the filter, the report or the export.
Until now the “View marketing data” permission closed only the ad-attribution block on the card — tags, landing page, referrer. The source itself — “where the lead came from” — stayed visible to everyone: a column in the list, a filter, a breakdown on the dashboard and a column in the export. The boundary now runs across the whole origin of a lead: the source, ad identifiers and tags are visible to the office owner and to staff the owner has enabled the permission for.
What changes for a staff member without the permission:
- the lead list has no “Source” column and no source filter;
- the card and the side preview do not show the source;
- the statistics page has no “quality by source” breakdown;
- the CSV export has no origin columns, and a source filter is not applied even if passed by hand.
The boundary is enforced on the server, not in styling: closed fields are not included in the response at all, so there is nothing to dig out of the page source. Lead intake, the quality loop and offline conversions work as before — they need this data on the server, not on a staff screen.
The owner and the administrator see everything as before. To open the source to a staff member, tick “View marketing data” in their profile: one permission, and with the source come the tags and the statistics breakdown.
