The panel in your office colour — the second step

The panel can run in the office accent colour: buttons, links, the active field. Contrast is checked against ת״י 5568, and status colours stay as they are.

When we wrote about the logo, we said the office accent colour would come next — it is here now. The logo was the first step: the panel and the sign-in screen show the office logo instead of a name in text. The second step is the colour.

The office accent colour is a setting, and it replaces the product colour everywhere the panel highlights something: the main action button, links, the outline of the field the cursor sits in, the marker on the active row. An office with no colour set sees exactly the panel it saw before — nothing changes for it.

A colour that text cannot be read on is not accepted. Before saving, the system measures the contrast of the button text against the chosen colour. If it falls below what the accessibility standard ת״י 5568 (WCAG 2.1, level AA) requires — that is, below 4.5:1 — the colour is not saved, and the system offers the nearest shade of the same hue that does meet the requirement. The office never has to work out contrast itself, and it cannot make the panel unreadable by oversight either.

Status colours are not repainted. A status colour carries meaning — it says which stage a lead is at; the success, warning and error colours stay where they are for the same reason. The office colour is responsible for emphasis, not for information.

We put the colour in place when the office is connected, as we do with the logo. A screen where the office changes the colour itself does not exist yet; it comes later.
