Who looked at what — the office owner can see
The Settings → Access log screen shows who opened an inquiry, changed a status or exported data — metadata only, and opening the log is itself recorded.
In an office that works with people's inquiries there is a question that is hard to answer after the fact: who saw this inquiry, who changed its status, and when. Until now the answer rested on memory and on trust. Now a screen answers it — Settings → Access log, for the office owner.
The log lists actions by time, 50 entries to a page: viewing an inquiry, changing a status, editing a record, exporting data, signing in. It can be filtered by type of action, by member of staff, by period and by an exact inquiry number, so the same screen answers both "what happened this week" and "who touched this particular inquiry".
The log holds safe metadata only: time, member of staff, action, inquiry number. Field values — names, phone numbers, the text of inquiries — are not written into it at all, so the log does not turn into a second store of personal data. A deleted inquiry appears in the entry as deleted, without revealing what it held.
Opening the log is recorded in the log as well, once per opening. Opening the log does not go unnoticed — a tool that checks on others has to be open to checking itself.
Two events that had been missing were added along the way:
- viewing the deal amount is recorded only when the amount is filled in and the person looking holds the right to see it — otherwise there is nothing to record;
- an Israsky support sign-in to the office, through a temporary link, is marked as a separate event and does not blend in with an ordinary staff sign-in.
The log is open to the office owner and to the roles given the right to view it; a member of staff without that right is refused. This is a matter of accountability inside the office: the office's data stays under the office's own eye.
