The office picks status colours — from a verified palette
On “Settings → Statuses” every status now has a colour picker with eight ready-made colours; text contrast is verified in advance, and statuses without a choice stay as they were.
Until now a status badge took its colour from the stage, and the office could only pick a shade within it. Statuses of the same stage barely differed, and telling a status apart by colour at a glance did not really work. Now the office owner assigns a colour to each status — on “Settings → Statuses”, in the status editing dialog.
The choice comes from a palette of eight named colours: ocean, iris, plum, rose, amber, olive, teal, slate. Next to the choice is a live preview of the badge with the status’s own label, so the decision is made on what staff will see, not on the colour’s name.
There is no free colour picker, and that is deliberate. An arbitrary colour breaks the readability of the list: three different blues — and the funnel stops reading. More importantly, the text on the badge must stay legible: every “background — text” pair in the palette is checked for a contrast of at least 4.5:1, as the accessibility standard requires, and that check is enforced automatically. A colour that would fail it simply does not make it into the palette.
What stays as it was: statuses with no colour assigned are still coloured by stage — not a single badge changed after the update. The first option in the picker is called exactly that — “by stage” — and you can return to it at any time.
The chosen colour shows everywhere a status badge appears: in the lead list, on the card, in the funnel, in the status-change notice and in statistics.
