The list of leads opens the way the office set it
The office owner sets once how the list of leads opens: the feed mode, the sorting, the columns shown and the filters the list starts with.
Someone opening the list of leads in the morning has so far seen what the system decided rather than how the office works: a different sorting, columns they do not need, and every lead at once. There is now a Settings → “Default lead list” screen, available to the office owner, where it is set once how the list opens for everyone.
The setting has four parts. The feed mode in each row: “last entry” or “the whole history”. The sorting: by date of submission, by name, by last touch or by the next call. The columns, out of four optional ones: topic, last touch, next call and amount. And the filters the list opens with: “today”, “in work” or “overdue”.
The feed mode is applied to a member of staff once, the first time they open the list. After that the personal switch at the top of the list takes precedence, and the office does not overwrite what the person chose for themselves. The sorting, the columns and the starting filters apply to everyone.
- The “All” chip shows every lead even when a starting filter is set. Anyone who wants the full list does not have to ask for anything.
- The “Last entry” column cannot be turned off: it is where the lead is opened from, from the keyboard as well, and it is needed for accessibility.
- A change to the setting is written into the access log. Only the names of the changed fields are written, without the values themselves.
The setting belongs to the office rather than to a single user, so a person joining tomorrow opens in the right view straight away, with nothing to explain about what to arrange for themselves.
